Where Architecture, Art & Objects Tell a Shared Story

Founded by French architect, creative advisor and curator Julie Leibovici. Working at the intersection of architecture, art and collectible design, the studio brings together creative direction, curation and bespoke commissions to shape spaces with enduring identity.

Creating emotional and cultural depth through craftsmanship, art and design.

Rooted in architectural thinking and material culture, ARCANIE explores how objects and spaces interact to define the atmosphere and identity of contemporary living environments.

Guided by the French philosophy of art de vivre, ARCANIE believes that the objects we choose, the artists we champion and the craftsmanship we preserve all contribute to the way a place is experienced.

Every project is approached as a dialogue between architecture, culture and materiality, where each element adds depth, emotion and meaning to the whole.

About Arcanie

Alongside her work as a Creative Advisor and Curator, Julie is an artist whose practice explores memory, materiality and place. Her work reflects the same sensibility that defines ARCANIE—an appreciation for craftsmanship, timeless forms and the emotional resonance of thoughtfully created objects. This artistic perspective informs every project, creating spaces that feel both deeply personal and culturally grounded.

Working across Europe, Australia and beyond, ARCANIE collaborates with architects, interior designers, private clients, galleries, artists and exceptional makers to curate collectible objects, commission bespoke works and build meaningful creative partnerships. Whether shaping a private residence, a hospitality project or a cultural space, the studio creates environments where architecture, art and art de vivre become a single, lasting expression of identity.

Our Purpose

At ARCANIE, we believe that the spaces we inhabit should tell a story. Our purpose is to bring together architecture, art and craftsmanship to create environments that evoke emotion, celebrate culture and stand the test of time.

Through thoughtful curation, creative direction and meaningful collaboration, we shape places that reflect the identity, values and aspirations of the people who experience them.

‘Ensembliers’ of these exceptional Savoir-faire, we create unparalleled decors and a very personal philsophy of Art de Vivre for our clients.

About Julie Leibovici

Born in the 1980s, I grew up immersed in a rich tapestry of cultures, with parents who had a deep love for hospitality and creating a warm, welcoming home.
From an early age, I was captivated by beauty and luxury, perhaps as a response to my parents' simple, yet elegant, way of living.

My true appreciation for these qualities, however, came from looking back at my grandparents' refined taste and the environments they created.

As a child, I was always drawing, and as a teenager, my passions extended to both riding horses and sketching them. Though I had a natural talent for the sciences, which my father hoped would lead me to a career as an engineer like him, I felt a void. I yearned for creativity, a need that was only satisfied when I made the pivotal decision to pursue architecture. I followed my calling and earned my Architect DPLG degree from the prestigious École des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 2003, fulfilling what I now recognize as my true vocation.

For me, creativity and drawing are not just skills but essential parts of who I am.

The Creation of Arcanie

Life took an unexpected turn when my father passed away in 2004. I stepped into his shoes, taking over our family business—a French company specialising in steelwork and building hardware. For more than fifteen years, I led the company, preserving its legacy while developing a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, materials and the people behind exceptional work.

Although the business flourished, my passion for art, architecture and design never faded. Over time, my journey led me between Europe and Australia, where I immersed myself in the worlds of interior design, collectible objects and creative collaboration. These experiences deepened my belief that the most memorable spaces are not defined by architecture alone, but by the emotional layer created through art, craftsmanship and carefully curated objects.

From this vision, ARCANIE was born. Today, the studio operates as both a creative practice and a curatorial advisory, partnering with architects, designers and private clients to shape spaces with enduring identity. Through creative direction, bespoke commissions, collectible design and meaningful collaborations with artists and exceptional makers, ARCANIE brings together architecture, art and art de vivre to create places that are as emotionally resonant as they are timeless.

Alongside this advisory practice, I continue my own artistic journey through French porcelain and collectible works, celebrating craftsmanship, beauty and the stories that objects carry. ARCANIE is the culmination of this lifelong path—a place where creativity, culture and human connection come together to create lasting experiences.
